Founded in March 2021, Little Paws Brisbane was created from a genuine love for dogs, with a special focus on small breeds and oodle type personalities. Their friendly nature, gentle temperaments and joyful energy are what inspired the vision behind Little Paws.

During the COVID period, a clear gap became evident in Brisbane’s pet care space. Many small dogs needed a safe, calm environment where they could socialise with dogs of a similar size, without the overwhelm that can come from being mixed with larger breeds. At the same time, busy lifestyles highlighted the need for a flexible, mobile dog care service that supported both dogs and their owners.

As many households welcomed new puppies during this time and later returned to work, Little Paws Brisbane was designed to support these dogs through structured outings that break up long days at home. Our approach helps encourage confidence, social skills and independence while reducing separation anxiety, without placing dogs into long full day daycare environments.

Over the last 5 years Little Paws Brisbane has been built on calm handling, safety first practices and genuine care for every dog entrusted to us. In late 2025, Kelly joined the Little Paws team as our first contractor. Kelly brings extensive experience, shares the same values and has been carefully selected and trained to ensure consistency, trust and the highest standard of care. Her addition allows us to continue growing while maintaining the personalised service Little Paws is known for.

We are proud to be a small, dedicated team who truly understand the needs of oodles and small dogs, and the trust it takes to hand your best friend into someone else’s care.

Hi, I’m SJ, the Owner and Operator of Little Paws Brisbane. I am a devoted dog parent and the proud human of Charlie, my Cavoodle and constant companion. Like many dog owners, Charlie is truly family, and the love and responsibility I feel for him shapes everything I do within Little Paws.

Charlie and I relocated from Adelaide to Brisbane in 2019, a big life change that ultimately led us exactly where we were meant to be. Building a life in a new city gave me a deeper appreciation for community, trust and the importance of finding the right people to care for your dog.

During the COVID period, my professional path shifted and created space to reassess what truly mattered. It was during this time that the vision for Little Paws Brisbane came to life. I saw a need for thoughtful, structured and small dog focused care that supported both dogs and their owners in a practical and meaningful way.

Little Paws Brisbane is built on lived experience, genuine care and a strong commitment to safety, calm handling and positive social experiences. What began as an idea driven by passion has grown into a trusted service and a beautiful community of dogs and owners that I am incredibly grateful to be part of.

Little Paws may be my business, but it is also my heart.

I’m Charlie, also known as the CEO of Little Paws Brisbane, 

Chief Executive Oodle!

If I had to describe myself in three words, they would be adventurous, loyal and handsome

I’m a seven year old second generation Cavoodle, originally from Adelaide, and I am very proud of my oodle heritage. I spend my days alongside my mum SJ, helping welcome dogs just like me into the Little Paws community. I love that we get to share our adventures with so many furry friends

I am famous for my love of fetch and my impressive ability to find a ball no matter where it is hiding. When I am not chasing balls, I am giving hugs, standing up on my back legs and wrapping my paws around people. Snuggles are my specialty

I run on high quality fuel, with raw meals morning and night and a chicken foot for dessert. Weekends are all about adventures, puppuccinos and spending time with my favourite fur friends.

Little Paws is more than just dog care, it is a community, and I am very lucky to be a part of it

We are so excited to officially welcome Kelly to the Little Paws Brisbane family as our very first contractor.

Kelly brings with her a wealth of knowledge and hands on experience, having previously worked in dog daycare environments. Through this time, she developed a strong belief that dogs truly thrive in smaller, calmer groups and in outdoor settings that allow for more natural movement, structure, and connection. This shift in mindset is what led her to seek a more meaningful way of working with dogs, one that prioritises wellbeing, happiness, and respectful care.

Kelly is passionate about providing dogs with an environment where they feel supported, understood and able to be themselves. Her calm nature, thoughtful approach, and safety first mindset align beautifully with the values that Little Paws Brisbane has been built on from the very beginning.

At home, Kelly shares her life with her beautiful Cavalier King Charles, Lucy. Lucy is 10 years old and was rescued, which has further shaped Kelly’s deep compassion and understanding of dogs at every stage of life.

Kelly will initially be running our Friday group outings, with an exciting outlook to continue growing alongside the 

Little Paws Brisbane community.

Little Paws Brisbane is more than a dog care service.

Throughout the year, we bring our community together through much loved oodle playdates and social gatherings that allow dogs to form genuine friendships in a safe, familiar environment. These events are designed to be calm, inclusive and fun, giving dogs the opportunity to socialise with others who match their size, play style and energy.

One of the most anticipated highlights of our year is the Little Paws Christmas Playdate. This signature event brings together dogs, owners and local businesses for a joyful celebration filled with play, connection and plenty of festive cheer. It has become a special tradition and a true reflection of what the Little Paws community stands for.

We are proud to support and collaborate with incredible local businesses who share our values around quality, care and community. By working alongside trusted brands, we are able to introduce our clients to products and services we genuinely believe in, while continuing to support the small business community around us.

At the heart of Little Paws is the friendships that form, not only between the dogs, but between the humans too. Many of our clients arrive looking for the right care for their dog and leave having found a sense of belonging, familiar faces at the parks and lasting friendships. There is something truly special about being part of a group that understands the joy, challenges and love that comes 

with owning a small dog.
